The Directive of Transport is a personal, ground-up construction of a working miniature locomotive, and a railway to run it on. It’s not just a build — it’s an integration of everything I’ve learned across a lifetime of systems engineering, railway theory, electronics, autonomy, and sheer persistence.
It’s powered by my own control logic (the "StarSeer Core") built from Arduino and microcontroller arrays — a modern interpretation of the long-lost Ericsson ATC units once found in Sydney's Tangaras.
This blog documents the physical build, the electronics, the occasional frustrations, and the flashes of insight that come when you put something real into the world — bolt by bolt, line by line.
